Moves on the Board
We’re back in the swing of things. Mayor Parker made a number of appearances this week, and the Philadelphia City Council had a spirited return. It’s the closest thing to “Back to School” for politicos in the city. Here’s everything that happened.

In Case You Missed It
In a news conference this morning, Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced that law enforcement in the state have apprehended the shooter in Charlie Kirk’s murder.
California lawmakers have passed legislation to prohibit ICE officers from wearing face coverings when conducting raids in the state. Could other states follow suit?
After D.C., the president is turning his sights on other cities in an effort to “lower crime”. Memphis, Tennessee, he says is next, along with Chicago and New Orleans. The mayor has yet to comment.
The Senate reportedly has chosen the “nuclear option”, in an effort to get the backlog of the president’s nominees confirmed. In a 53-45 vote, the Senate voted to change the rules and allow for confirmations in subcommittee groups beginning next week.
