Government Relations Updates
This week was busy in the aftermath of a major winter storm that cancelled a few committee meetings. But, Mayor Parker attended the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the city of Philadelphia filed an injunction against the federal government over the removal of panels depicting America’s history of slavery at the President’s House site near Independence Hall. Governor Shapiro joined in filing an amicus brief in solidarity. Meanwhile, City Council introduced a package of bills called “ICE Out”, aimed at strengthening protections for immigrant communities.

The US Dollar dropped to its lowest point in four years on Tuesday, according to the ICE U.S. Dollar Index, the Intercontinental Exchange’s measure of the currency against six others, including the Euro and Pound.
