Government Relations Updates

This week, Philadelphia announced that Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) ended with a $1.187 billion fund balance, the largest in the city's history, and City Council was busy with hearings. A Bellevue client was honored at the Governor’s Keystone Awards, the governor took legal action against the Trump Administration, and House and Senate leadership from both caucuses met in person with the Governor to discuss the budget stalemate.

We’re on the shutdown highway for the foreseeable future, with no off-ramp in sight as the Republican conference begins to show signs of fracturing around funding SNAP benefits—which expire tomorrow. We talk about it in this week’s Compass.
